- The original building of the respiratory protection workshop, clothing store and warehouse area Ahrweiler, which is located on Ramersbacher Strasse opposite the Ahrtor in Ahrweiler, was so badly damaged by the flood in 2021 that a replacement building is to be implemented in another place. TheReplacement construction is to be carried out in the form of an expansion of the Bad Neuenahr fire brigade at Heerstrasse 125, 53474 Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. TheThe planned usable areas are used by the fire brigade Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and the district of Ahrweiler for cleaning, repairing, checking and storing the equipment relevant to use. This includes in particular the areas of respiratory protection technology, chemical protection suits (CSA), personal protective equipment(PSA) as well as operational clothing and storage equipment. In the respiratory protection workshop, all work in connection with the maintenance and examination of respiratory protection technology, the CSA and the PSA are carried out. The replacement building is mandatory according to the currently valid norms, regulations,to carry out recognized rules of technology (ARDT) and guidelines - including DIN 14092.
