2. S-Bahn main line Munich, NeM23 - travel time distribution Bf Johanneskirchen - Munich Airport, landscape conservation implementation planning (LAP)S-Bahn network. With the exception of the Munich-Pasing ?Hoellriegelskreuth line, all lines run on the S-Bahn main line. The S-Bahn main line, which dates back to the 1970s, has reached its performance limits. Due to the operating plan planned from the commissioning of the 2nd S-Bahn main linerogram, there is a need for additional infrastructure on various external branches of the existing S-Bahn network in order to be able to cope with the increased traffic. According to the start concept plus, with the exception of 2 lines, a 15-minute basic frequency with additional express S-Bahn lines will be introduced in the 30thMinute intervals will be used as a basis for the future S-Bahn network. The new operating program provides for an express S-Bahn out of the city towards the airport. Due to the operating conditions of the SBahn lines provided for in the future operating concept of the 2nd S-Bahn main line, there is a need for thism the northern branch of the S-Bahn line between Johanneskirchen and Munich Airport to increase the existing speed to shorten travel times.
