Description:
FMG intends to carry out a renovation of the shed roof glazing (sloped glazing) of the aircraft maintenance building Hangar 4 at Munich Airport, Maintenance Allee. According to the budget, the renovation measure should start in spring 2024 and be carried out by the end of 2025.
The hall roof dHangar 4 has a rectangular floor plan and an area of approximately 13,000 m2. The flat roof has an approximate height above ground of approx. 32m. The roof area is divided in the southern area by an approx. 153m long, continuous strip of light. The maintenance area is located in the southern area of the light stripsgang.
The scope of the renovation includes the skylight in the roof area to the south.
The skylight has a gable roof shape with glass surfaces inclined at approximately 42 from the horizontal over a rectangular floor plan. The approximately 6m (glass length) high glass surfaces span an approximately 7 m wide baseieck with a height of approx. 9m. The light strip has a total length of approx. 153m and ends at each end with a closed vertical ceramic facade. In total, there is a glass area of approx. 950m2.
