- Duisburg is one of seven cities that take part in the nationwide model projects for the further development of urban development funding. The aim is to test future -proof strategies for integrated urban development at the level of the neighborhood. The focus of the model project focuses on topics such as air conditioning Conversion, mobility infrastructure, densification, the coexistence of living, leisure, sports and business as well as social cohesion.
