- 2026-35-BAU-EU Sanitary / New building multimedia news center SWR Mainz The SWR is further developing the Mainz location for future-proof media supply. The development of the existing multi-story parking garage directly along the street "Am Fort Gonsenheim" enables the necessary expansion of space for multimedia tasks at the Mainz location in a compact and short distances. The two new floors span the existing garage and their facades follow the curved course of the street. The new building is accessed via the central staircase with elevator on the courtyard side. A glass bridge on the 1st floor connects to the "Haus am Wall" (component 4), thus creating direct access from the existing building. You enter the extension building on the 1st and 2nd floors 2nd floor has a spacious entrance area that welcomes visitors and employees with a view of the lounge or a green atrium. The areas of the departments, which are organized as a triple alliance, are accessible on both sides.
