- The aim of the research project is to develop recommendations for action in order to make public passenger transport (public transport) more resistant to the consequences of climate change. The three central areas of construction infrastructure, operation/organization as well as personnel passengers are taken into account.
A comprehensive inventory takes place at the beginning of the project. The potential effects of extreme weather events on public transport are then analyzed using two sample cities. This analysis takes place both qualitatively by evaluating operating reports and surveys of the driver as well as quantitatively using an expert interview.
