Description:
Rheinenergie AG plans new power cables of the voltage level 110 kV to secure the supply of the Cologne city area on the left bank of the Cologne. To ensure the power supply in the 110kV area, the substation (hereinafter referred to as UW) Woehler and the UW Nord should be be connected. As part of the preliminary planning (feasibility study), several variants were examined with different sections of the route. The project received the title Tricol (Triangle Cologne). There are a total of 3 tricol projects, but only the tricol project will be in this planning performance 1 (UW Woehler - UW Nord). The tricol 1 project is divided into 2 route sections. These include Tricol 1a (North) with a total length of 4,442 meters and tricol 1b (south) with a total length of 4,692 meters. The Tricol 1b (south) route section has the peculiarity that From the UW north towards the UW Woehler to the Trassen-KM 2.237, a double ditch must be produced, since another project will use the double route. The double ditch provides for the parallel laying of two cable strands in an approx. 1.5 m wide ditch (Appendix 5.3). The entire route From Tricol 1, the following total length: Tricol 1a (north) (UW Woehler - UW Nord) 4,442 meters tricol 1b (south) (UW Woehler - UW Nord) 4,692 meters total 9,134 meters The cable is mainly made in an open trench construction. Only at neuralgic points (e.g. track systems, Crossings etc.) is made in the underground construction.
