Description : GIZ has been commissioned to implement the project "Nile Delta Water Management (NDWM)" in Egypt on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). The overall objective of the project is to improve conditions for efficient water use in the sub-sectors water supply and wastewater management as well as in irrigated agriculture. Referring to irrigated agriculture the project is linked to the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation (MALR) at the national level and supports its extension services in selected Governorates in the Nile Delta, namely Kafr El Sheikh, Beheira, Sharkia and Dakahlia. A Contractor is required to provide consulting services to strengthen capacities of the MALR and its respective departments for agricultural extension and agricultural services related to efficient water use of water resources in irrigated agriculture at farm level. A team of national and international experts shall be provided by the Contractor for this purpose. Close coordination and consultation with the GIZ project team in Egypt will be required.
