Description:
To meet the demand of the private sector for professional skills and to satisfy the expectations of industrial companies regarding the technical/professional quality of the young people trained, the Project aims at an improved adequacy between the specific demand expressed by the private sector and the training offered by setting up a system of professional development in close cooperation with the private sector. The main objective of this contract is to set up technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in industrial mechanics for young people, and particularly women, and to integrate them into decent, sustainable jobs. In all, the aim is to train 125 young people in the industrial mechanics sector in Côte d'Ivoire, with a particular emphasis on training and employment for women. The project is targeted primarily at young people and women (aged 18-35). The aim is to offer practical, short-term training courses, enabling young people and women to become rapidly operational and productive. The industrial mechanics training period envisaged is a maximum of 04 (four) months, with a ratio of 20-30% theory and 70-80% practice, in five (05) cohorts/cycles. Each cohort will comprise around 25 people, with the aim of training 125 people in two (02) training centers. The choice of training centers is currently being finalized, with one located in Abidjan and the other one outside the city.
