- Services to be provided by the contractor: The program develoPPP seeks to continue investing in SBGs across Africa. In 2025 four calls for applications for Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana and as an option an additional country, to be defined, shall take place. The calls for applications take place bi-annualy for six weeks at the end of a quarter. A new call for applications will be announced on the develoPPP (Ventures) website prior to the start of the application window and is open to all start-ups that meet the conditions for participation. With an expected minimum of one call for applications per country and year, the program plans to select and support approximately 5 local businesses per call and country, with a co-funding grant of EUR 100,000 each, with an option of investing another tranche (Top-up) at a later stage after reaching certain milestones. In addition, customized technical assistance for each grant recipient will be provided. The successful bidder, (for future reference implementation partner) will support the activities of develoPPP Ventures in Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, as well as the optional roll out of the program to additional countries, by handling an expected minimum of four calls for applications for these countries starting in the 2nd quarter of 2025 with follow-up activities until 2026.
