Description:
PADDI is recruiting an international services provider (the contractor) to support local communities with the implementation of activities contributing to the sustainable development of productive landscapes around four protected areas in Boeny and Diana. Under this assignment the contractor is expected to contribute to: - increasing the number of local producers generating additional revenues through the application of sustainable practices (agro-sylvo-pastoral); - reducing the areas affected by bush fires around protected areas; - increasing the areas applying sustainable agriculture practices, including improved livestock management; - increase the areas applying sustainable forest management practices. More specifically, the contractor will support: 1. the restoration of degraded landscapes; 2. the development of sustainable production capacity; 3. the protection of ecosystem services; 4. the transformation of sustainable productions; 5. the management of land rights.
