Description:
The project "Relance Verte through Green Energy and Hydrogen in Morocco" is pursuing the goal of strengthening the institutional, legal and technical framework for an accelerated energy transition provided by private investments. The project is linked to existing measures of the German-Moroccan cooperation. The political institution is the Ministry of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development (MTEDD). Other strategic partners are, etc. The regulatory authority Anre, the national supplier Onee, the agencies Masen and Ireses as well as the regional government of Guelmim OUED NOUN. The close integration between national control and regional implementation is a central feature of the project.
In a first field of action, the Morocco project accompanies the reform of central structures in the electricity sector. Together with Mtedd, Anre and Onee, regulatory Fundamentals for the market opening, network access and tariff design further developed. The aim is to facilitate investments of private and international actors in renewable energies and to improve the integration of fluctuating feed -in into the national power grid. A special focus is on Strengthening planning, control and transparency - especially through the structure of digital instruments and mechanisms.
