• With the introduction of electronic files in the Thuringian Ministry of Justice, Migration and Consumer Protection, challenges of a non-technical nature have arisen. Digitalization means established work processes are included Paper files have become obsolete. In daily work with electronic files, individual processes have been found that are still largely based on paper processes. The specifications are also based on traditional processes aligned. There is still potential in the processes for optimizing business processes, which should be described and leveraged. The provision of services for process evaluation and process optimization is planned. As a basis should the actual processes already recorded can be used. As a result, concrete optimization measures should be formulated and largely established. In a first phase, the service provider should observe selected critical processes in the business area, document and evaluate the result with the business area. Optimization approaches must be developed from the evaluation results and then evaluated again with the business area. Recommendations will then be made in the final report of the first phase formulated for process optimization. Based on the fact that the recommendations contain, among other things, system-technical optimization approaches, these must be implemented in a second phase according to the remaining resources.
