The Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Center for Polar and Marine Research (Alfred Wegener Institute - AWI) is a research institute in Bremerhaven with over 1,000 employees. In addition to the main location in Bremerhaven, the AWI operates other locations for research purposes, including: Sylt.
In order to attract scientists and science support staff to the AWI / Wadden Sea Station, it is necessary to provide living space.
