  • The Association of Region Stuttgart intends to commission the provision of rail traffic services on the Lines of the S-Bahn Stuttgart, as the subject of rail passenger transport (SPNV). Lines S1/S11 (Kirchheim/Teck-Plochingen- Herrenberg), S2 (Schorndorf-Filderstadt), S3 (Backnang-Airport/Messe), S4/S40 (Backnang-Marbach (Neckar)-Stuttgart-Schwabstrasse), S5 (Bietigheim-Bissingen-Stuttgart-Schwabstrasse) and S6/S60/S62 (because of the city/Boeblingen-Stuttgart-Schwabstrasse) Teckbahn) (Kirchheim (Teck)-Oberlenningen) and KBS 790.11 (Schusterbahn) (Kornwestheim PBF-StG-Untertuerkheim PBF).
    To do this, he will purchase 56 vehicles of the ET 430 vehicles from the current operator of the Stuttgart S-Bahn. The general conditions for the Provision of the vehicles will be the subject of the negotiations in the award procedure. According to the current status, it is not yet clear whether the Stuttgart region will also allow uses provided by the EVU. This will also be the subject of the negotiations.
