- The Neuhausen Senior Stift Foundation is a state -managed foundation under public law. It was founded with the purpose of the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior of July 21, 1964 (document No. IA4 -539 -4 V/4), blind women -especially former students the state blind facility - to be looked after in the home. The existing building is designed in an angle, consists of two structures of different builders (younger building from 1993) and has a gross floor area of around 7,910 m2. It comprises three or four above -ground on a thigh Floor and a basement. The building has been built by the road and borders on the back to a park -like open space with an old trees. There is a simple development plan (building line plan of the state capital of Munich). The dormitory at Winthirstrasse 20 in Munich-Neuhausen should be expanded. There are currently 89 dormitories available. The creation of around 13 additional places for blind and visual impaired people is planned by the new construction of around 20 rooms. The new dormitory places are to be accommodated in 1 and 2 bed rooms and each have a barrier -free, wheelchair -accessible wet room according to DIN 18040 (execution r). In the course of the measure, the existing rooms and bathrooms must also be converted so that they meet the R requirements. The common areas are also functional and designed. Special Attention is paid to room acoustics and lighting. The development must be made accessible throughout and also has to take into account the specific needs of people with visual impairment or blindness - for example through tactile guidelines and contrasting designs.
