• The Passau Clinic ("Clinic") is the leading focus hospital in Eastern Bavaria with around 2,400 employees and the only heart center in Lower Bavaria. In the 19 specialist departments with a total of 660 beds, including the Hellge Clinic, 10 dialysis places and 8 semi-stationary pain therapy places Around 31,000 patients are cared for on an outpatient basis every year and around 41,000 patients. Cardiac surgery and perfusiology continues to develop, which is why the operations have been increasingly being carried out in recent years. In addition, more and more multimorbid patients are being Operated with the heart, which means that all specialist departments involved in the operation are enormously demanded. This change in cardiac surgery increases above all the requirements for perfusiology in order to be able to carry out the highly complex interventions under the best conditions for the surgeon and to achieve the best possible outcome for the patient. The demands not only increase to the human factor, but also to the machine factor in order to achieve safe and best possible treatment results. The cardiac surgical treatment spectrum extends from Aorto-Koronaren-bypass operations, through tricus pidal, mitral and aortic flap reconstructions to the highly complex aortic arch replacement with elaborate perfusion options. In addition, over 150 TAVI interventions per year are carried out in cooperation with cardiology. The currently existing devices (HL20 with the Documentation system jocabxl) are outdated and can no longer meet the current and future requirements.
