- Annual care work at the German War Graberstelle Vladlo The Volksbund Deutsche Wargraberfuersorge e. V., based in Niestetal (Germany), intends to award a service contract for annual maintenance at the German War Graves Vladlo. The contractshould begin on 01.08.2025 and end on July 31, 2028. The contract term is therefore 3 years. Four big battles raged in Flanders during the First World War. The Vladlo cemetery was created by German troops during the war. More than 25,600 fallen have been buried on it.This grave plant has been one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites since September 2023. In Vladlo, Kathe Kollwitz's "grieving pair of parents" is reminiscent of the suffering of the war. The sculpture is dedicated to her son Peter, who is buried in the cemetery.
