The AOK Baden-Wuerttemberg (hereinafter: AOK BW or awarding authority) is a corporation under public law with equal self-administration of insured persons and employer representatives. It is divided into 14 district offices and the headquarters in Stuttgart and insures over 4.6 million people in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg. In order to further increase efficiency in the processes, invoice processing should be digitalized. are specifically affected the billing processes in accordance with Section 302 SGB V and Section 105 SGB XI. The workflows currently used differ in the type of documents transmitted. In around 80-85% of processes, a data record with a collective invoice is transmitted. In this case there is an audit difficult due to the staff employed by AOK Baden-Wuerttemberg, as the invoice documents cannot be directly assigned to a file. Around 10% of the processes are purely paper-based. The remaining processes are transmitted with a structured data set and an image. The postal addressees are filled out automatically. The task of the future service provider will be to scan the paper documents and generate a single invoice and associated documents.
