- Description:
- Heat is currently generated mainly by the two hard coal-fired steam generators at the Tiefstack HKW, which went into operation in 1993. The HKW also includes two peak-load boilers fired with gas or heating oil, the pure one serve to generate heat. There is also a gas and steam turbine power plant (CCGT) on the site that went into operation in 2009. Hamburger Energiewerke is providing the Tiefstack thermal power plant as part of the “Tiefstack Transformation (TiTra)” program Hard coal to natural gas (H?Gas) in order to achieve the city of Hamburg's climate goals and reduce the share of coal in district heating generation to zero by 2030. After the changeover, the previous electricity and heat extraction services should essentially remain the same remain preserved. For this purpose, in particular, coal firing, ash and desulfurization systems as well as coal-based air and flue gas ducts must be dismantled. Lot 1 bundles these dismantling services and thus forms the basis for the new buildings and conversions of the subsequent trades. The Tiefstack HPP is currently operated with two hard coal-fired steam generators in cogeneration operation, supplemented by a combined cycle power plant. Extensive coal-specific plant components are installed at the site, including: - Flue gas desulfurization system (REA?UHT building) with absorber/scrubber, gypsum suspension container, pumps, pipelines, GAVO, induced draft fans, silencers and flue gas ducts, - electrostatic filtration systems for dust separation, - daily coal bunker, coal mill...
