• Description:
• The Oschatz sewage treatment plant (KA OZ) was comprehensively upgraded in 2000. The mechanical cleaning part (built in 1960) was modernized, the biological cleaning was rebuilt as an SBR process and a sludge dewatering section and a new operations building were built. The facility is for 26,000 Population values ​​(EW) are designed. In the following years, numerous modernizations were carried out, including: • 2012: renewal of the fans and introduction of a fuzzy logic control for energy optimization, • 2013 2015: upgrading of the feed pump station with new pumps and pipes, • 2019: new construction of the Computing hall with two computing lines due to significant corrosion. The biological cleaning is carried out via three SBR reactors (Droessler prestressed concrete) with Aerzen Delta Hybrid D 36 S compressors (secondary equipment 2012). Ventilation takes place via disc aerators on PVC strands; the membranes are heavy procurable and susceptible to wear. In addition to the renovation of the aeration section, there are further challenges: • Increased phosphate values ​​(P loads) in the inflow as a result of redissolution processes from sludge treatment, • Energy and operating cost optimization in connection with EU requirements Energy efficiency and emission reduction, • Heat recovery from blower air or waste heat, • Testing the structural integrity of the SBR containers, • Integration of future requirements from the EU KARL directive (methane, nitrous oxide, energy neutrality). The aim of the measure is long-term security the cleaning performance, the increase in energy and operational efficiency, the modernization of process and control technology and the preparation of the system for future environmental requirements.
