As part of the "Climate Protection through Bicycle Transport" funding program, Azweio Kommunale Aoer received a grant in September 2022, with the aim of contributing to the demonstrable reduction in CO2 emissions through suitable measures. For this, a sustainable mobility concept becameDeveloped that a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and environmentally friendly mobility in the sense of multimodal mobility change should promote. In addition to investing cycling -promoting measures and the further development of the mobility app already in the basic version"Moin Mobil" will introduce the municipalities of the city of Achim and Flecken Ottersberg to a public bikesharing system in the region. So far, a company -bound bike sharing has already been operated in the region. The now advertised public bikes sharing will replace the previous offer andprovide all interested users as a station -bound offer in the future.in the Azweio region (operating area).
