Bandlibrary extension
The Scientific Computing Center (SCC) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (Kit) operates the archive storage systems of the Grid Computing Center Karlsruhe (Gridka). Gridka provides the German particle physics community and In particular, the LHC experiments on CERN storage and computer resources are available as an animal 1 calculation center. The desired procurement serves to expand the existing archive environment in Gridka. The archive storage system to be procured is in the computer rooms of the SCC at Kit Campus Nord set up and operated. The intended procurement serves to expand an already existing bandlibrary (Tfinity) by Spectra Logic by 4 more frames. The Tfinity Library currently has 13 frames and 48 TS1160 drives, and should be expanded as shown in Figure 1 corridor plan.
