- Barrier-free expansion of the Barbarossaplatz tram stop - construction work by GU General contractor service for the barrier-free expansion of the Barbarossaplatz light rail stop, including the structural adaptation of the surrounding areas. subject of Procurement is the EU-wide award of a construction work as a general contractor service for the barrier-free expansion of the Barbarossaplatz light rail stop (lines 16 and 18) in Cologne, including the structural adaptation of the adjacent traffic, pedestrian and square areas. The aim of the measure is to make the stop fully accessible and to integrate it into the existing street space in terms of functionality, traffic and urban planning. Construction is being carried out while the light rail system is running Road traffic and places increased demands on construction processes, traffic safety and interface management. The construction work includes in particular the new construction or conversion of the platforms, track construction and track adjustment work, road and Civil engineering work, civil engineering services, adjustments to traffic areas and services for the technical equipment of the platforms.
