• Building description: A two-story new building will be built for the Mannheim-Gartenstadt forest school in place of the current C building. The building will be constructed using timber frame construction and will have wooden formwork on the outside. Load-bearing interior walls consist of Cross laminated timber. The reinforced concrete floor slab has perimeter insulation on the underside. The foundations are laid using strip foundations, individual foundations and slab foundations. Windows as wood-aluminum window elements, some with external doors. Post and beam facade in wood-aluminium with external doors. Suspended acoustic false ceilings, in parts GiKa false ceilings. Solid wood interior walls with gypsum fiber cladding on one side on spring rails. Wood stud exterior walls with gypsum fiber cladding on the interior. On both floors Cement screed is installed on insulation layers or bulk fill. There is NO underfloor heating. Rubber flooring, porcelain stoneware tiles in sanitary rooms. The two reinforced concrete FT stairs are used outside Grating steel stairs with extended to OK outdoor area. All stairs have a stainless steel handrail on both sides. The parapet wooden wall is raised with a circumferential railing made of galvanized steel pipe as fall protection. The interior doors come with Side and top lights, wooden surround frames and HPL-coated door leaf. The fire protection door elements in the hallways and the interior glazing with doors from the vestibule to the foyer on the ground floor and from the staircase to the foyer on the upper floor are as Aluminum-glass elements made. The Mannheim-Gartenstadt Forest School is located at Walkürenstraße 7 in 68305 Mannheim. The building plot for the new building is located in the north of the forest school building ensemble and is accessible via a construction site access road Accessible from Karlsternstrasse.
