Description:
Bielefeld University was built between 1972 and 1976 and is a 410m long and 230m wide building structure with up to 11 full floors and two basement floors. The entire complex has a gross floor area of approx. 314,000 m2. All components are at the end of their regular positionen useful life. Findings of pollutants, functional and structural defects as well as outdated energy-related building standards require a comprehensive modernization of the main university building (UHG). The current plan calls for the renovation and modernization of the UHG in six construction phases (BA).. Due to the size and complexity of the project, the construction project should be implemented on the basis of a multi-party contract with integrated project management (IPA).
