- The Federal Police Sankt Augustin property is to be adapted to the structural requirements of its users. Essentially, the building policy goals, such as: Functionality, safety, cost-effectiveness, sustainable and energy-efficient construction, use of innovative building materials, Techniques and procedures as well as urban integration at the location are taken into account. Since the 1930s, a total of 82 buildings have been built on the property's area of approximately 73 hectares. The building stock offers around 134,000 m2 NRF and around 81,000 m2 NUF 1-6. The The condition of the buildings was determined during the preparation of a master plan in 2013. The master plan contains recommendations as to whether, given the existing conditions and taking into account the current and expected functional and spatial needs of the users Renovation, demolition or building expansion makes sense. One aspect of the master plan was the construction of a new police training and education center with a track system, fire test area and swimming pool with a training tower in accordance with the approved decision document for construction (ES-Bau).
