In the course of the restructuring of the Rheinisch Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitat Bonn, the main building is being renovated. With the listed buildingstanding main building is the former electoral residence lock. The latter is divided into theTwo -storey Stockentor wings with appix and the subsequent three -storey Koblenzertor wing. The building complex is used by the university administration as well as three humanities faculties and associated institutes. It mainly houses office orEmployee rooms, lecture halls, seminar and meeting rooms, libraries, museum areas, an auditorium and the early classicist castle church.
To ensure the ongoing operation of the university, interim solutions are required during the renovation. The lecture halls are supposed tobe accommodated as interim. The conversion measure should be developed in such a way that the building can be adapted to the subsequent use with little effort after interim use.
