Fiber optic expansion in the outskirts of the city of Naumburg
The individual districts of the city of Naumburg have already been expanded independently by two companies with fiber optic connections for all properties within the respective development areaences are comprehensively developed. In addition, there are around 90 addresses spread throughout the municipal area that lie between the development boundaries of the individual districts, in the so-called outer locations. These are predominantly private and agricultural propertiesin smaller numbers, but also municipal properties (e.g. water houses, sewage treatment plants, transformer stations, etc.) and commercial locations (e.g. wind turbines). These addresses are often characterized by their isolated location and greater distances from their respective neighborsonly have small bandwidths. As part of a market investigation process, the undersupply and thus the eligibility for funding were proven. In the course of its own economic expansion, no telecommunications company had acquired these properties in an economically viable mannerThe city of Naumburg would now like to have these external locations expanded via broadband connections that guarantee at least a symmetrical supply of 1 Gbit/s.
