- Since 1998, the inpatient groundwater cleaning system (GWRA) in the area of the groundwater damage of the former "August Bebel" coking plant has been conducted in continuous operation. The groundwater cleaning is carried out by "Funnel and Gate" in the "Pump & Treat process" using catalytic oxidation and re-instructionof the cleaned water into the renovation area below the basic principle of a cleaning circuit. For this purpose, contaminated groundwater is lifted from 4 conveyor fountain at the angle of a steel pile wall and after cleaning in the groundwater cleaning system in 8 swallowing fountains, filtered in again.In 2021 and 2022, extensive studies on the hydraulic adjustment of groundwater renovation under the direction of the GFI Grundwasser-Consulting Institute from Dresden took place. As a conclusion and recommendation from it, the swallowing fountain 9 on the south wing of the sheet of the sheet should become oneFunding fountain can be converted.
