It connects the two federal motorways A38 in the south and the already completed A14 in the north and closes the motorway ring around Halle.
The subject of the present The contract is the structure BW12Ue, landscape tunnel Porphyrkuppen including an exhaust air center and the operational equipment as well as the adjoining protective walls.
From construction km 17+879,402 the route runs in a straight line. The roadways run parallel in plan. The maximum permissible speed is set at 80 km/h over a length of 700 m for one-way traffic. At construction km 18+061 a farm road needs to be converted.
The tunnel is currently in the Shell construction phase. The technical equipment services HOAI §55, Lph 3 have been provided and the operational design is currently in the approval phase. The shell construction planning is comprehensively coordinated with the operational technical design.
The currently valid RABT serves as the basis for planning to be used in conjunction with the existing and approved RAB-ING draft. The technical equipment services in accordance with HOAI §55, Lph 5 and 6 as well as special services are awarded.
