  • The Max Planck Institute for Plasmaphysics (IPP) based in Garching
    W7-X has the task of the suitability of the stellarator as a desirable alternative to demonstrate to Tokamak on the way to a fusion power plant.

    As part of this project, the customer needs the replacement and upgrading of the
    existing calibration laser for coherence illustration spectroscopy (CIS).

    The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP), with its headquarter in Garching near
    Munich, operates a stellarator-type fusion experiment, the Wendelstein 7-X (W7-X), at its site in Greifswald (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern). W7-X has the task of demonstrating the suitability of the stellarator as a desirable alternative to the tokamak on the way to a fusion power plant.
