- Disposal area of the city of Meppen The wastewater canal network of the city of Meppen consists of PVC, PP, stoneware and 7 attitudes from concrete lines and is currently approx. 210 km long and has 56 sewage pumping plants. About 70-100 km of sewer network must be cleaned annually. The wastewater pumps should, as far as necessary to be cleaned annually. In addition, approximately 5-30 km sewer network for a condition evaluation with a TV camera is to be used annually. The rainwater channel network of the city of Meppen consists almost exclusively of concrete pipes, occasionally attitudes from PVC and PP are installed, and is currently approx. 125 km long. About 10 - 30 km of sewer network must be cleaned annually. If necessary, the rigoles should be cleaned 2 years. In addition, approximately 5 - 10 km of sewer network for a condition assessment with a TV camera is to be used annually. The cleaning of the SW channel network should be in usually be carried out in the period from March to August of each year. The cleaning of the rainwater channel network usually from March to October. In addition to regular sewer network cleaning, the cleaning of sections in the sewer network (e.g. construction areas), removal is also from sewer plugs, cleaning of house connection lines from the control shaft to private property to the connection channel. In the case of sewer plug, sewer repairs or other emergencies, it must be ensured that a maximum vehicle within two hours is at the scene. In the city and in the districts there are also around 800 small sewage treatment plants (multi -chamber pits) and drainless collecting pits, which must be emptied as required.
