Description: As part of the ForLab NSME project, a process line for the production of neuromorphic electronics is being set up. Within this process line, a chemical mechanical polishing system (CMP) is required to planarize the process topography. This should enable the construction of complex system architectures in the material system Nb / SiO2 with a multitude of construction levels. It is also a prerequisite for the heterogeneous (back-end) integration of the technology on CMOS-processed wafers. In both processes, disruptive topography effects have to be reduced in order to achieve the desired performance.
