• Description:
• The German Aerospace Center (DLR) intends to set up a new test center for crash and impact tests (CITE Crash & Impact Test Environment) at the Empfingen innovation campus. The aim is to create an infrastructure that is unique in Europe for the development, Testing and approval of low-emission aircraft. The subject of the project is the construction of a new crash hall with a fall and RPG system, an intermediate building with technical and social rooms and an impact bunker extension with a testing and measurement technology area. The experimental facilities enable large-scale Tests on aviation structures, including with built-in energy storage and tanks. The technical equipment includes, among other things: several bridge cranes, highly specialized control centers, extraction technology and a sustainable heat supply using heat pumps and PV systems. Special requirements: - Construction height up to 26 m, delivery via large-capacity transport; - Noise emissions up to 115 dB(A) in tests; - Integration of safety and protective measures against debris and CFRP dust; - High demands on measurement accuracy, reproducibility and control technology. The total cost of the project (KG 200-500) are estimated at approximately €6.0 million net. The milestones for implementing the project include: - Start of work: March 2026 - Start of construction: August 2027 - Completion: August 2029 The scope of services for general planning services includes all necessary planning and monitoring services, which are required for the measure LPH 2-9 in accordance with the appendix to § 6 of the contract, in particular the service profiles: • object planning for buildings and interior spaces, • object planning for outdoor facilities, • specialist planning for structural planning, • specialist planning for technical equipment ALG 1-8, • building physics, • fire protection.
