- The city of Nordhorn is planning to transform the former ZOB area into a new inner city harbor as part of the “downtown waterfront” flagship project. The core content is the renewal of a storm water canal, the construction of a dirty water canal including the renovation of a pumping station, Installation of security bollards, production of lighting and design of the outdoor areas. The aim is the urban development transformation of the previously sealed area into an attractive water district with a high quality of stay, which will revitalize the area inner city as well as strengthening tourism, gastronomy and retail.
