  • The "Herzberger Teich" dam in the lower winter valley above the old town of Goslar was created in 1561 as a Speicherensee for water supply for hydropower use in the Rammelsberg mining. In the years 1768/69 there was a damper increase of approx. 4 m with the aim of enlarging theStorage. The Herzberger Teich is part of the World Heritage Site "Bergwerk Rammelsberg". He is a list of monument protection as a cultural monument in accordance with ยง 3 NDSchG. As part of the flood protection concept (HWSK) Goslar, the system is to be converted into a flood retainer pool (HRB). The conversionTogether with the project "New construction of a gose grane tunnel", a combination measure to achieve a complete HQ100 protection for the old town of Goslar.The permanent traffic jam is driven and the delivery can be controlled in a targeted manner. A first feasibility study and 3D measurement have already been carried out. In a second feasibility study, two different operating states were examined as HRB. In connection with the second feasibility studyThere was also a stability examination of the dam structure. The financing of the feasibility study is covered by the MU through the special fund.
