It serves a catchment area of ​​around 300,000 residents and is of great importance for the connection to the train station and regional bus transport. Initial situation: The central bus station has significant structural, functional and operational deficiencies. A barrier-free renovation of the existing central bus station is not possible possible. In addition, there is massive structural damage, especially to the tunnel running under the central bus station, whose sealing is in urgent need of renovation (currently water ingress and progressive structural damage).
