• Description:
• The subject of this tender is the clearance and cleaning of the lock and pumped storage system (solid construction and hydraulic steel construction) on the Main-Danube Canal (MDK) federal waterway during the scheduled shipping closure from March 7th, 2026 to March 27th, 2026 for a subsequent structural inspection. The Services include the cleaning of approximately 65,000 m2 of concrete surfaces in the base system of the lock, the lock chamber, the longitudinal and pumping channels, the savings basins, the entry and exit areas of the ship lock system as well as the inlet and outlet channels of the pumped storage system in the period from February 23rd, 2026 until March 20, 2026 for the subsequent structural inspection as well as the construction site setup and securing, scaffolding construction and residual dewatering from February 23, 2026 to April 2, 2026. Construction cleaning also includes loosening, picking up, transporting (on average approx. 800 m) and loading the items to be cleaned Barges or temporary storage on the AG's land. Furthermore, around 3000 m2 of steel hydraulic components have to be cleaned in the installed state in cramped conditions. This includes the upper and lower gates as well as the operational closures of the lock and pumped storage system. The surfaces to be cleaned are mostly under water when the lock is in operation. Drainage is carried out in advance of this measure, with the exception of the client (AG) draining residual water from the bottom of the lock. The degree of purity must be such that damage to concrete or steel hydraulic structures, especially cracks, can be clearly identified for structural inspection. Mussels and algae adhering to the surfaces as well as deposited mud, scrap and rubbish of all types and sizes etc. must be removed from the lock.
