In the city of Bad Kreuznach, due to its leeward location to the Hunsrueck and its valley location, there are unfavorable conditions in terms of air mixing and air exchange, so that inversion weather conditions often occur. The hot days per decade ranged from 1948 to 1957 with 85 hot days the decade 2008 to 2017 increased by 115% with 183 hot days. The daily average value also increased by 1.4C during this period, calculated in decades, from 9.7C to 11.1C.
Therefore, climate concerns should be given greater consideration in land-use planning and in preparation for the reorganization of the A city-wide climate analysis and a planning information map must be created as part of the land use plan.
