Description:
The project serves to analyze and evaluate possibilities for the implementation of a marking of the climate and ecological footprint of food in Germany. The contractor (hereinafter) will provide scientific foundations to the BMU (Unit G III 4 "Environment and Nutrition", in the following client [AG]), from which the AG is a technically well-founded political position in the current debate Can develop climate identification of food.
The project thus also supports the implementation of the 2050 climate protection plan and the 2030 climate protection program of the Federal Government. For the climate-related technical debates arising from the implementation of the climate protection plan 2050 agricultural and nutrition, the AG consists of a need for support through scientifically sound analysis.
The project is also relevant with regard to positioning on the food label planned under the Farm-to-Fork strategy.
