WISTA Management GmbH (WISTA MG) is planning to convert and expand the former US military hospital in Berlin Lichterfelde into the FUBIC innovation center. The start-up and technology center is intended to accommodate research and technology-oriented start-ups serve profile-compliant small and medium-sized companies. Offices and laboratories for chemistry, microbiology and physics will be built. The building is a large, free-standing structure measuring approx. 60m x 120m, centrally located on a five-hectare development site between Fabeckstrasse and Kamillenstrasse, which is to be developed as a campus with 6 additional new buildings in the coming years.
Construction of a 500 kVA battery system
It is a battery storage system based on lithium-ion batteries with a peak output of max. 500 kVA and a usable storage capacity of max. 510 kWh to be provided. A building at the level of the 1st basement level outside the FUBIC is intended to be the installation site for battery modules and inverters or charge controllers. This building is equipped with supply and exhaust ventilation and is equipped with 6 rooms. A room will be used as a battery storage facility for the construction project used, with two additional rooms being kept for subsequent use (rooms 1 to 3). In the future, a further 500 kVA battery output per room can be retrofitted in battery rooms 2 and 3. A maximum capacity of battery rooms 1-3 of 2500 kWh is therefore possible. The memory is as ...
