- The Ortenau (MN) mobility network, in which 14 municipalities together promote sustainable mobility and use synergy effects, would like to advance the expansion of the public-accessible charging infrastructure in order to further support the market high run of electromobility. The proportion of pure BEV and PHEVis to be increased in the cities of the MN to sustainably reduce the pollutant, noise and greenhouse gas emissions of the traffic sector. Therefore, the expansion of a nationwide, needs-based and user-friendly electric charging infrastructure by private providers should be promoted.The municipalities themselves will not build or operate their own electric charging stations, but will prioritize and organize the structure on the basis of a targeted concept. The concept provides for the implementation of an active award as part of a service concession. The awarding authority of theCity of Lahr performs the award for the MN. Since the MN consists of larger cities and smaller municipalities, the locations are defined in mixed lots.
Participating municipalities of the MN as part of the present tender are the cities of Offenburg, Kehl and Lahr as well as theMunicipalities Neuried, Schwanau, Rheinau, Seelbach and Friesenheim.
