- The Dortmund Opera House is located at a very busy intersection in the middle of Dortmund city center. The challenge will be to plan the construction site in such a way that we neither affect traffic over a large area nor the flow of visitors to our houses. The construction project can only be carried out under The various load assumptions must be taken into account (construction site equipment and scaffolding are largely placed on the roof of the entrance area) and must be viewed very sensitively; more details are explained in the feasibility study on page 46. Another special feature is that only special time windows are available for the measure, which are planned very tightly and have no buffers. The entire measure is to be carried out in two construction phases, so that we will have the construction site set up in both 2026 and 2027. The A detailed description of the construction phases is also described in the feasibility study. The two construction phases are to be carried out in the non-game period of 2026 and 2027. That's 6 weeks each (analogous to the NRW summer holidays), plus two weeks before and after them Time. A particular challenge is the partial execution during ongoing operations. The phased execution phases of parts of the construction work must be planned in such a way that rehearsals and performances of the opera house and the theater are guaranteed (execution in the play-free period 2026 and 2027, unrestricted, during rehearsals and performances, noise-intensive work between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and from 5:30 p.m. is only possible in exceptional cases after consultation with the Theater Dortmund). Noise-intensive work should therefore be done in the same way during non-play time during the summer holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia, before and after work that can be carried out with little noise and dust.
