In the Schneeberg site redevelopment concept, the Markus-Semmler-Stolln is considered complex due to its great importance as a water management relief structure for the orderly drainage of mine water from the Schneeberg mine buildingIt is classified as a redevelopment area with special priority (KSA 1). Since 2011, significant sections of the Markus Semmler tunnel in the southwest part of the Schneeberg deposit have been upgraded and mine water has been collected and drained away in a targeted manner. In the northwest part of the deposit, conceptual design was carried outDuring our work, relevant tunnel sections were explored and key problem areas were documented and evaluated. As a result of this assessment, renovation phases were defined. The renovation section F provides the connection between the main tunnel section on the Persival-Morgengang and the north-western one710 m long.
