The project area is located in the Buchholz district of the city of Annaberg-Buchholz, east of Waldschloesschenstrasse in Waldschloesschenpark. To explore uranium-bearing ore veins in the Buchholz deposit, SAG Wismut began exploration in April 1948The parking tunnel on the left bank of the Sehma, which was given shaft number 142.
