- N-ERGIE Kraftwerke GmbH is planning to build and operate a waste wood cogeneration plant at the Nuremberg-Sandreuth site (Fig. 2) for the primary use of waste wood in categories A I to A IV in accordance with the Waste Wood Ordinance (AltholzV). In addition to waste wood, small quantities (maximum 8% of the Total fuel throughput) sieve overflow from composting and fermentation residues from the anaerobic treatment of municipal waste can be used as fuel.
The planned system is a waste wood boiler system with grate combustion and a steam generator to generate live steam for district heating supply and power generation at the Sandreuth site in Nuremberg. The boiler is followed by a state-of-the-art flue gas cleaning system that complies with the required emission limits. The scope of services of GU 1 includes the main group of components: Infrastructure and the TGA.
