In a letter from 2021, the Ministry of Finance informed that the operation of the major calculator is stopped at the end of December 31, 2027. Then was withUnit 15 agreed to replace a project to replace the major calculator. It has been working on it since May 2023. The goal was to work out in 2023 planned items for setting up the double budget 2025/2026. In 2023, a proof of con-cept (POC) was carried out, the result of which with theNote MLR22-0272-62/4/1 of 23.11.2023. In 2024 a project plan and the technical framework conditions were developed by the LGL and the project with ministerial MLR22-0272-278/1/2 decided (Appendix 1).
The LZFD is now planning to switch off the Z/OS infrastructure by the end of 2027.The affected application is to be migrated to Linux. Part of these applications consists of JCL-Batchjobs, which are operated on the Z/OS within Natural Operations (Enop) and Natural Output MA-NAGURE (ENOM).35 based in Kornwestheim.
