Description:
The BEG operates DEFAS ("Continuous Electronic Passenger Information and Connection Security System") on behalf of the Free State of Bavaria and the Bavarian State Ministry for Housing, Building and Transport (StMB). DEFAS is the background system of the Bavaria mobility platform. Subject of the tender is the operation of the Bavaria mobility platform with DEFAS and MoBY using the existing software solutions from MENTZ GmbH purchased by BEG as well as the hosting of the relevant programs, data, data streams and interfaces. The successful bidder is expressly not responsible for software technology Construction of a new DEFAS system was required, as this would not represent a sensible option from either an economic, operational or qualitative perspective given the current scope of DEFAS with its large number of data supplying and data-receiving partners.
