Description of the Incitis Food Project
Incitis food (Integrated and Circular Technologies for Sustainable City Region Food Systems in Africa) is a four-year project that aims to improve food and nutritional safety (FNS: Food and Nutrition Security) in African city regions Reduce ecological footprint and at the same time contribute to the circular economy. In addition, the project will strengthen the local population by opening up opportunities in agricultural food supply and value chains and achieving environmental justice through a transformative food policy. This is achieved by interdisciplinary research, integrated best-fit technologies, measures guided by interest groups, the establishment of capacities, the cooperation between research, practice and politics and a European-African partnership.
